A modern take on Tarot sees it more as a tool for creative thinking

than one for predicting an outcome.

During a reading, Intuitive Tarot encourages the participation of the querent bringing

about a more personal interactive

approach. The images on the cards act as a mirror,

prompting ideas and thoughts to surface.

This is called "intuition", tuition from within.

When the inner voice is validated, confusion becomes clarity.

All it needs is your attention.

It's about exploring past experience, present day dynamics,

relationships and challenges with greater

understanding. Tarot does not forecast what will happen,

it highlights what could happen based on your

past and current path. This

gives you the power to change direction if necessary.

Intuitive Tarot can be used as a tool for journaling,

creative brain storming and story telling. It is alledged

J K Rowling used the 22 Major Arcana cards, known as

"The fools journey" for inspiration while

developing the characters in her Harry Potter series.

The most important part of consulting the Tarot is asking the right question. Open ended questions receive open ended answers leaving you going around in circles.

My experience of working with the Tarot is that

it will share the wisdom you need at the time of the reading.

Sometimes, the answer to your question is not it's first priority.

Below is a sample of a simple 3 card spread.

The question is:

What wisdom does Tarot wish to share with NAME . . . .

should they proceed with the business of opening a coffee shop?

Card 1  Card 2  Card 3

Card 1 in the PAST position is the Queen of Cups.

In relation to the question, this card suggests

someone who is patiently waiting for an opportunity to arise.

In this case, opening a coffee shop. Queens in Tarot

usually represent the quality of patience. The Queen of Cups

is a patient, calm, compassionate and level headed Queen.

In a reading, she would probably represent the seekers character.

Card 2 in the PRESENT position is the Ace of Wands.

Aces represent new beginnings! The Ace of Wands

is suggesting a new beginning surrounded by much

excitement and enthusiasm.

Card 3 in the FUTURE position is the Eight of Pentacles.

Pentacles represent material and financial matters. The beautifully

handcrafted eight pentacles seen on this card suggest

hard work and

dedication will be

rewarded with financial success.

A brief summary:

The querent has been thinking about opening a coffee shop

for quite some time, waiting patiently for the right venue.

Finally the venue that was hoped for has become available and the querent is very excited about this opportunity.

If the querent is prepared to put in the hard work and

long hours needed,  the coffee shop will do well

and be financially rewarding.
